The MVFR is operating at Itapetinga Radio Observatory (ROI), since 1988, within the frequency range of 18-23 GHz, with high spectral (1 GHz) and time (0.6-1.2 s) resolutions. In a near future will operate simultaneously in ~40 GHz. Simultaneous observations in 1-18 GHz, 37 GHz e 87 GHz, permit us to build solar bursts spectrum from 1 up to 87 GHz. The aim is to improve our comprehension about the fundamental questions of solar physics concerning energy storage and its release during solar flares.
